So.. it has been a full-on two weeks in the UK!!
Lots of gigging, working, booking.. and travelling!! I played at festivals in Leamington Spa and Milton Keynes, played shows in Macclesfield, Weston-SUper-Mare and London! and HOsted My first UK OPEN MIC night at the EArl of Portobello in LONDON! we had a great night of singer-songwriters playing their tunes, then a big all in JAM at the end – thanks to the stars of the night – back line – WILLS on his street-drum kit & Tino (of Praying Mantis fame) on lead guitar! you guys rock!!
I’ve couch-surfed, slept on canal boats, stayed in hostels and with friends.. and as much as I love it all – I am really looking forward to my own bed in BERLIN!! my ‘home’..
This time round’ I decided to hire a car for parts of my journey and I really enjoyed the freedom of driving again!! I had a zippy little car in OZ and I forgot how much fun it is to drive yourself wherever you want to go! ( I took a detour to see Stone Henge on the way back from Plymouth)..
I also saw some beautiful English Coastal towns..including Weston – Super – Mare

I also got the chance to do some filming in Plymouth (southern UK) with a friend who is creating her own TV show called ‘Southwest Sessions’ to be launched in September! It features singer-songwriters and iconic locations in the southern UK area.. I’ll let you know more when it’s about to be launched! We found a great location at low tide – right out on the rocks and even though it was raining on and off all day – we managed to shoot 2 songs and an interview!
