Something in the air tonight..
Something must be in the air!!.. there seems to be so much changing and shifting in my life right now.. I guess it started with moving house.. new space, new perspective and all that..
This is the view out one of my new bedroom windows… ahhh greeen… trees… birds.. it is so nice to wake up to in the mornings.. and tonight it’s hot enough to sleep with the windows open and the soft breeze coming in..
I had one day off today between tours! so it has been some intense relaxation time coupled with some big things that I needed to deal with. A big day..
My latest adventure was a great singer songwriter festival in Aarhus, Denmark called ‘Melodica’ it happens all over the world and this one was so special and awesome… I had one of the greatest soul-filling up weekends, filled with amazing musicians, new friends, and good times.. in a beautiful sea-side city in Denmark!
One of the many high-lights of the Melodica Festival was when Brett Winterford (Aus) took the concert outside on the streets!! awesome..
My host was amazing and made us fresh fruit smoothies every morning and a great fruchstuk brekky.. we shared his compact and very funky apartment in the middle of town, walking distance to the best ice-creamery in town, awesome coffee.. and pretty much everything!! He gave me a guided walking tour of the harbour on my last day including the Queen of Denmark’s summer palace!! we got to have a good look up close and walk around her gardens! thankyou Queeny!! Ole’ also taught me some very useful Danish – ‘Du a’ e’ schmukt tre’ = you are a beautiful tree.. which I got to use later that night playing at a cafe singer songwriter night.. rapping in Danish.. 🙂 yeah… !
This is the main area of Aarhus that we hung out for the festival.. it was sooo pretty.. especially at sunset!
I travelled back 8 hours on 3 trains back to Berlin.. and was happy to be home but will miss my new friends and Aarhus!!
and Tomorrow I start my next adventure.. on tour with the amazing talented Jaimi Faulkner and his band for his tour releasing his new single!! I will be singing some guest backing vocals and opening a couple of the shows! then I meet up with the lovely Coby Grant for a show in Gluekstadt on the weekend.. and then.. start my own solo tour of Germany!!! BIG month ahead!!
There seems to be lots of endings and beginnings in my life right now.. and I am trying to be brave and go with it, let go and flow with where the energy is going.. sometimes its’ scary and I feel like clinging to the shore.. other times I wanna just jump right in and see what happens..!! when one door closes.. another door opens.. !
