Sitting on a bus on the way to Witten.. only a few million hours of travelling but thank god for wifi on the bus.. that is really civilized don’t you think?
I had a great few days of gigs up north in Germany last weekend – my first time in Sankt Peter – Ording playing in a hospital to the patients. Walks through the pine forests, running to the beach and back on a very windy day, fish brötchen on the boardwalk.. and the cutest hotel ever! Complete with a sun-room filled with books, couches, wicker furniture, kitch seagulls and captains, and a piano!
A return concert at Prinz Willy in Kiel – such a great venue and lovely audience!! This was a fav’ and a highlight of my recent touring! Lots of sleep and reading books – I finished one of my favourite books ‘Americanah’ by a Nigerian author ‘Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’ – and you know when you want the story to keep going.. I miss the characters already!!
And also a fabulous return show at my favourite cafe in Deutschland and perhaps the world!! Cafe Erlesenes Das Wesercafe in the old haven ‘Veggie-sack’ as I like to say (apparently it’s not pronounced like that but they don’t mind me saying it) – one of the best audiences ever!! So enthusiastic and such warm welcome! I also got to sleep on a ship and have brekky at the cafe surrounded by gorgeous antiques and very creative easter decorations. And I managed to squeeze in a morning run along the water-front.. beautiful!
